Established in 1995, The Rig is a 750 capacity venue specialising in a wide range of music. Now run solely as a nightclub, the Nottingham venue began life as dressing rooms to Rock City and eventually evolved into a fully-fledged venue in itself. It has become renowned for intimate gigs, the first of which featured Tigertailz. The opening band was followed by the likes of Whale, Travis and Placebo. It now hosts Nottingham’s longest running Indie night, Crash.

The Rig will be refurbished in 2007.
